Ryan Brang, MD, FAAFP
Dr. Ryan Brang was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. He received his medical training from Ross University and completed his family medicine residency in 2012 in Marquette, Michigan. After spending two years with his wife Katie in private practice in northern Wisconsin, they were recruited to return to Marquette to become faculty members at the Marquette Family Medicine Residency program where they educated residents and medical students for 8 years. Ryan became the Associate Program Director and the chair of the Family Medicine Department in September 2022, Ryan left his faculty position to start NorthCountry Health Direct Primary Care in Marquette, Michigan. Katie joined in January 2023. They focus on preventative medicine, nutrition counseling, wellness and lifestyle education, procedural care, and general primary care. In his free time Ryan enjoys cooking healthy meals for his family and spending time outdoors biking, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and camping. Ryan is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Chief of Staff at UPHS-Marquette, the Upper Peninsula Representative of the Michigan State Medical Society and has completed advanced training in neuroplastic pain management and is a certified culinary medicine specialist.
